RAETZER PLLC

Privacy Page

Raetzer PLLC (Firm, we, us, or our) explains in this Privacy Policy how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information in connection with www.raetzerlaw.com(Website), initial inquiries, and related business communications. It also describes choices available to you.

This Policy does not replace our professional duties, an engagement agreement, or a separate notice applicable to a particular service. Information received in a legal representation or protected prospective-client consultation remains subject to applicable confidentiality, privilege, and professional-conduct requirements. This Policy does not authorize a disclosure prohibited by those requirements.

1 Information you provide

Contact and inquiry information. We collect information you provide when you contact us, including your name, email address, telephone number if supplied, business website, gross annual revenue category, inquiry subject, and message. We may also receive your company name, role, scheduling preferences, and the identities of parties relevant to a conflicts check.

Assessments and other requests. If you complete a questionnaire, request a publication, or participate in a readiness assessment we offer, we collect your submitted answers and contact details. If an assessment produces a score or preliminary result, we may retain it with your inquiry to help us respond. Such a result is not a legal opinion or a determination that you qualify for financing or a securities exemption.

Communications and preferences. We retain correspondence and information about your communication preferences and privacy requests. If you choose not to provide information reasonably needed to respond to a request, we may be unable to respond or evaluate the inquiry.

2 Information collected through the Website

Our Website and the providers that operate or supply its features may receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, visit times, interactions, and cookie or similar identifiers. An IP address may indicate an approximate geographic area.

This information can be collected through server logs, cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels and similar code can transmit information when a page or content loads. The information collected depends on the features enabled, your browser settings, and any applicable consent choices.

3 Information from other sources

We may receive contact or business information from people who refer an inquiry to us, individuals communicating on behalf of a business, public business records, and service providers involved in the inquiry. We may associate that information with information you provide to assess the request, check conflicts, or maintain accurate contact records. We also may receive Website or campaign reports from providers of the features described below.

4 How we use information

We use contact details, business information, submitted answers, and correspondence to respond to inquiries; evaluate potential engagements; conduct conflicts checks; schedule consultations; provide requested materials; and administer related communications.

We use technical and interaction information to operate and troubleshoot the Website, protect against spam and unauthorized activity, understand how visitors use content, and evaluate communications and advertising where those features are enabled and permitted by law.

We also use information as reasonably necessary to comply with legal and professional obligations, maintain appropriate records, address disputes, and establish or defend legal claims. Where permitted, we may send relevant firm news or educational materials, subject to your preferences and any consent required by law. We obtain separate consent where required; visiting the Website or reading this Policy is not consent to every processing activity.

5 Cookies advertising and embedded features

Website operation. Hosting, security, and form features may process technical information to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and receive your submissions.

LinkedIn. The Website includes LinkedIn advertising technology. Depending on its configuration and your choices, LinkedIn may receive device and browser information, identifiers, the pages visited, and interaction or event information. Advertising technologies can support campaign measurement or interest-based advertising and may allow a provider to associate activity with an account or other information it holds. LinkedIn explains its practices and choices at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Reviews and other content. The Website displays Google reviews through Trustindex. Loading third-party review assets or embedded content can disclose technical information, such as your IP address and the page requested, to the provider. Clicking a review, social link, or external media link may take you to a service governed by its own privacy policy.

6 When we disclose information

Service providers. We may disclose the categories of information described above, as needed for the relevant function, to providers supporting Website hosting, security, forms, communications, scheduling, record management, and other business administration. Providers are subject to appropriate confidentiality, security, and use restrictions where required by law or professional obligations.

Advertising and content providers. Technical and interaction data may be transmitted to the providers described in Section 5 when their features load or are used. Their role and permitted uses may differ from those of providers acting solely on our behalf.

Professional and legal purposes. We may disclose information to our professional advisers, insurers, or others where reasonably necessary and legally permitted to address professional obligations or claims. We may disclose information in response to valid legal process or to protect rights and security, subject to applicable law, privilege, and confidentiality duties. A legal demand does not itself eliminate those protections.

Business succession and your directions. Information may be disclosed in a proposed or completed transfer, merger, or succession of the practice only with safeguards and any notices or consents required by law and professional rules. We also may disclose information at your direction or with your valid consent.

This Policy does not authorize us to provide confidential inquiry details, legal documents, or client files to advertising platforms for their own advertising purposes.

Text messaging. If you consent to receive text messages from Raetzer PLLC, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive. Mobile numbers, text messaging opt-in data, and consent are excluded from every category of disclosure described in this Policy and will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

7 Your choices

Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe instructions in a marketing email or contact us to request that marketing messages stop. We may still send communications needed to address your inquiry, administer an engagement, or satisfy legal obligations.

Cookies and advertising. You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. This may affect Website functionality and may not stop every form of tracking. Provider account settings may offer additional advertising choices. Where we provide a Website privacy preference control, use that control to make choices for the relevant browser or device.

8 Privacy requests and applicable rights

Depending on your residence, our activities, and the law applicable to the information, you may have rights to confirm processing; access information; obtain a portable copy; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; and opt out of sale, certain sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Where applicable, you also may have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. These rights are subject to statutory conditions and exceptions and are not available in every circumstance.

To make a request, use the contact details in Section 14 and identify it as a “Privacy Request.” Describe your request and provide sufficient information for us to locate relevant records. Do not send identification documents or other sensitive information unless we request them through an appropriate channel. We may take reasonable steps to verify identity and, where applicable, an authorized agent’s authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

We may retain or withhold information where permitted or required to protect privilege, comply with professional or legal duties, maintain necessary conflicts records, defend claims, or protect another person’s rights. If we deny a request, we will explain the basis to the extent required and permitted by law. Where an appeal right applies, contact us through Section 14 with “Privacy Appeal” and identify the decision you wish to appeal. We will provide any further appeal or regulatory complaint information required by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

9 Retention

We retain information for the period reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, considering the nature of the inquiry or relationship, legal and professional recordkeeping requirements, security needs, applicable limitation periods, disputes, and legal holds. Different records may have different retention periods. Limited conflicts-check records may need to be retained after an inquiry ends, even if we are not engaged.

When information is no longer needed and no retention obligation applies, we delete it or render it nonidentifiable through appropriate processes. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.

10 Security and sensitive submissions

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and our obligations. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Do not submit confidential legal documents, financial account credentials, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through a general Website form. Limit an initial inquiry to contact information and a brief, nonconfidential description. Ask us for an appropriate channel before transmitting sensitive materials. Sending an unsolicited inquiry does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship or attorney-client privilege; applicable duties to prospective clients nevertheless remain in effect.

11 International access

The Firm is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where authorized personnel or service providers operate. Laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards or a lawful transfer mechanism for international transfers, we will satisfy those requirements. Use of the Website alone is not consent to a transfer that legally requires separate consent.

12 Children

The Website is intended for adults seeking business-related information and legal services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Website. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13 Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law. An update does not retroactively authorize a use or disclosure that requires separate consent.
