Website Terms and Conditions
RAETZER PLLC
These Terms and Conditions (Terms) govern access to and use of www.raetzerlaw.com and the content and features made available through it (Website). The Website is operated by Raetzer PLLC (Firm, we, us, or our). Please read these Terms before using the Website. By using the Website after receiving reasonable notice of these Terms, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
Last updated: September 17, 2026
These Terms apply to use of the Website. They are not an engagement agreement and do not establish the scope, fees, or other terms of legal representation. Any legal engagement is governed by the applicable engagement agreement and professional obligations. If these Terms conflict with an engagement agreement concerning legal services, the engagement agreement controls, subject to applicable law and rules of professional conduct.
The Website provides general information about the Firm and legal and business topics. Articles, blog posts, videos, podcasts, newsletters, downloadable materials, and other educational content are not legal advice for your particular circumstances. Laws and their interpretation change, and content may be incomplete, outdated, or inapplicable to your jurisdiction or situation. We do not undertake to update every item of content.
Do not act or refrain from acting based solely on Website content. Obtain advice from qualified counsel concerning your specific facts. Discussion of securities offerings, capital raises, acquisitions, or other transactions does not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation to purchase securities, an investment recommendation, or a guarantee of regulatory compliance.
Viewing the Website, downloading materials, completing a form or assessment, requesting or scheduling a consultation, or sending an unsolicited message does not, by itself, establish an attorney-client relationship. An automated acknowledgment or scheduling confirmation does not mean that the Firm has accepted your matter.
Our intake process requires a conflicts review and written confirmation of the representation, ordinarily through an engagement agreement. Do not assume that we represent you or have agreed to take action unless we have confirmed the engagement. Nothing in these Terms overrides a relationship or duty that arises under applicable law.
Before we authorize a confidential submission, limit an initial inquiry to your contact information, the identities needed for a conflicts check, and a brief, nonconfidential description of the matter. Do not submit privileged documents, trade secrets, financial account credentials, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through a general Website form.
An unsolicited communication is not automatically protected by attorney-client privilege. However, we will comply with applicable duties concerning prospective clients and confidential information, including duties that may arise before an engagement is accepted. These Terms do not waive those duties, authorize unrestricted use or disclosure of your information, or constitute consent to a conflict of interest.
Internet communications may be intercepted, misdirected, delayed, or lost. If sensitive information is needed, ask us to identify an appropriate transmission method. Existing clients should use the communication channels established for their matters.
The Website is not a channel for emergency legal assistance, service of process, or formal legal notices. Do not use it to communicate a filing deadline, closing deadline, or other urgent instruction. Even if a telephone line or intake service is available around the clock, that does not mean an attorney will review your communication immediately.
Submitting an inquiry does not obligate the Firm to accept a matter, respond within a particular period, or protect a deadline, except to the extent a duty otherwise exists under applicable law or an accepted engagement. You remain responsible for obtaining timely representation.
Joseph J. Raetzer is admitted to practice law in New York and Texas. Website accessibility in another jurisdiction does not imply admission or authorization to practice there. We undertake matters only where permitted by applicable law and professional rules and may require the involvement of local counsel.
Attorney Advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Testimonials and descriptions of experience reflect particular circumstances and do not promise results in your matter. References to practice areas do not imply board certification. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the attorneys identified on the Website are not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
The attorney responsible for this Website is Joseph J. Raetzer, MBA, JD, Raetzer PLLC. Mailing contact information appears below.
If we make questionnaires, readiness assessments, checklists, or similar tools available, their outputs are preliminary educational information based on the information supplied. They are not a legal opinion, a determination of eligibility for a securities exemption, or approval to solicit investors or complete a transaction.
Descriptions of services, fees, timelines, or subscription arrangements are general information unless incorporated into a written agreement with you. The actual scope, fees, assumptions, exclusions, and timing of an engagement must be agreed separately. No Website statement guarantees financing, transaction completion, regulatory approval, or any other outcome.
The Website and its original text, graphics, logos, videos, and other materials are owned by the Firm or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
You may view the Website and download or print reasonable portions for personal use or internal business reference, provided you retain copyright and attribution notices. Except as permitted by law or authorized in writing, you may not republish, sell, commercially distribute, or modify protected materials, or use the Firm’s name or marks to suggest sponsorship or endorsement. You may share links to publicly available pages without implying an affiliation.
You may not use the Website unlawfully; impersonate another person; submit fraudulent information; upload malicious code; send spam; attempt unauthorized access; circumvent security measures; or disrupt the Website or its users. Automated access that materially burdens the Website or bypasses access restrictions is prohibited. We may restrict access reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect security, subject to applicable legal and professional obligations.
The Website may link to or embed third-party websites, media, review platforms, scheduling tools, or other services. Those providers control their own services and may impose separate terms and privacy policies. A link or reference does not itself constitute endorsement. We do not control third-party content, availability, or security. This provision does not diminish any duty applicable to the Firm’s selection or use of service providers.
Personal information is subject to applicable privacy law and any separate privacy notice provided at collection. These Terms are not a substitute for a privacy policy or for consent that applicable law requires for cookies, tracking technologies, or marketing communications.
When you request a response, we may use the contact information you provide to address your inquiry, subject to applicable law. Merely using the Website or accepting these Terms does not constitute consent to marketing texts or automated marketing calls. Any required marketing consent must be obtained separately.
If you opt in through our website, Raetzer PLLC may send text messages replying to your inquiry, appointment confirmations, and scheduling reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for assistance, or call (945) 221-6318. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy at raetzerlaw.com/privacy-page.
To the extent permitted by law, the Website and its general informational content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Website will always be available, error-free, current, or free of harmful code. We may change or discontinue Website features, subject to applicable obligations. This provision concerns Website operation and general content and does not disclaim duties applicable to legal services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Firm is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from technical unavailability of the Website or unauthorized interference by third parties.
This provision does not apply to legal services or professional malpractice; breach of a duty to a client or prospective client; breach of confidentiality or applicable privacy obligations; fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct; or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits a professional obligation, waives a nonwaivable right, or restricts anyone from contacting a regulator or disciplinary authority.
To the extent a choice of law is permitted, Texas law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, governs these Terms and disputes concerning Website use. This provision does not select the law governing a legal engagement, displace applicable rules of professional conduct, or deprive you of mandatory protections under otherwise applicable law. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive a jury trial.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced only to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive its later enforcement.
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and changing the date above. Changes apply prospectively. Where applicable law requires additional notice or affirmative agreement, a change will become effective only after those requirements are satisfied. Updates do not amend an existing engagement agreement or retroactively alter rights arising before the update.
